About me

There is an ancient thread that connects everything ...

My name is Loredana Giacchella, I live my work as an adventure that is renewed every day.

I'm a graphic designer. Since 1984, under the guidance of my father, I have entered the fascinating world of fabrics and embroidery, and looking up to the great designers of the Eighties, such as Armani, Sarli, Valentino and others with whom I have collaborated.

What makes my work stand out is the continuous stylistic research and today my reality is to create jewels and drawings.
I love to define my space as a workshop of thoughts and manual skills. Like in every laboratory nothing is thrown away, but everything is transformed and contributes to creating a new product and a new intuition.

The Atelier is my shop, my open door to a deep connection with the world. This is where the unique jewels of my creation can be found, made with hard and semiprecious stones, set in silver, fused with ethnic, vintage or recycled elements.
When I create a jewel, it feels like my hands are executing an idea already inherent in the material itself, which has decided to take shape and live a new life.

In the evolutionary process, the interpretation of the meaning of the stones has acquired an important value.
And that's how the amulets were born. Small jewels or pendants composed of stones and objects of symbolic value, suitable for facing a specific period of our existence. They are support and comfort handles, which I can create in direct collaboration with the customer, tailoring every detail.

From the great love for art and from the satisfaction gotten from observation the work of graphics has developed, creating illustrations with mixed techniques, and applied to everyday objects, such as bookmarks, notepads, diaries, etc. The simplicity of the graphic form is enriched by an alternative interpretation, which is accomplished in the creation of panels, which I like to call "Ornamentsl Woven Panels".

They are fragments of recovered fabrics and other materials, finely sewn together to create brushstrokes of different colours and textures, and assembled with lost and found objetcs.

Within the frame of "Sulle Ali Di Un Filo", traces of my past blend first to then separate, but they never drift apart, keeping alive the desire to experiment.
This is my world: I'm letting you in, hoping that it will become yours too.

Welcome!
